What We Don’t Buy

Although we accept many different brands and types of tools, there are a few we don’t buy. Below you’ll find a list of the tools we do not purchase.

Unbranded socket set

Unbranded or generic tools

These items do not have a high resale value in the used tool market, so it’s not profitable for us to handle these kinds of tools.

Gas powered chainsaw

Gas powered tools (unless new or like new)

Such as chainsaws, weed trimmers, generators, and other similar items. However, we will purchase these if they are in new or like new condition, you will need to remove any gas prior to shipping.

Vintage wood working tools laid out on an old sheet on the ground.

Vintage or very old items

Generally, we do not accept these items unless they have significant value. If you think your item may be worth more than $100, get in touch. Such items often include highly sought after planes, which are often made in the USA or England.

Large metal lathe in a workshop.

Large or heavy items

Items over 150 lbs in weight, over 108 inches in length, or over 165 inches in combined length and girth (width + height x 2). Most carriers will not ship items above these limits, which means we would be unable to ship them to customers when reselling. This could include items such as machine tools, hydraulic shop presses, cement mixers, lathes, and other similar items, as these all often exceed these limits.
